SCWC SHRM Strategic Planning Workshop

Your Southern California Wine County SHRM chapter is excited to embark on a journey of self-discovery and strategic planning.  Since our inception we have been working to delivery quality program for the Southwest Riverside and North County San Diego region.  We are utilizing this next step to further work toward this goal as we grow both as a board as well as a chapter.

We invite you to join us for the general knowledge related to strategic planning, as well as the specific assistance we know this event will have for our chapter! 

Workshop Objectives:

  • Discuss the value of Strategic Planning
  • Walk through the Strategic Planning Life Cycle
  • Facilitate activities to write clear Mission and Vision Statements
  • Facilitate activities to identify Primary Objectives
  • Facilitate activities to develop SMART Goals
  • Facilitate activities to develop Action Plans
  • Discuss the fundamentals of Strategic Budgeting
  • Discuss execution of the Strategic Plan
  • ​Discuss evaluation of the Strategic Plan

Facilitator Bio: Jon Decoteau is the Divisional Director West for the Society of Human Resources Management.  As a Divisional Director, Jon is responsible for development and implementation of SHRM’s member engagement strategy for professional and student members.  He also provides leadership to and alignment of Field Service Directors and Membership Engagement Associates on program goals & processes.  He is also accountability for team leadership of affiliate programs, volunteer engagement, satisfaction and recruitment and SHRM-focused program delivery.
